Register now for Citizen University

Thursday, February 21st, 2013

Citizen UniversityCitizen University, a conference exploring the art of great citizenship hosted by Eric Liu’s Guiding Lights Network, will take place on Saturday, March 23, in Seattle. There is still time to register to attend—and if you sign up before March 1 you can save $40 on your registration fee. There are also discounted registration options available for students, military servicemen, and seniors.

We believe citizenship is about showing up for community and country — and we believe anyone can be a great citizen. This is a pivotal moment for Americans from left, right, and center to reclaim responsibility for solving problems together. . . .

At Citizen University you’ll engage with an incredible lineup of Luminaries like educator Howard Gardner; organizer Ai-jen Poo; Californa Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom; journalist Jose Antonio Vargas; MoveOn.org Co-founder Joan Blades; Mark Meckler, Co-founder of Citizens for Self Governance; author Steven B. Johnson and many more! You’ll learn from award-winning civic education programs, and participate in “deep-dive” discussions with fellow attendees. Our day ends with The Citizen Salon featuring Oscar-nominated “Lincoln” screenwriter Tony Kushner, professor Ahkil Reed Amar, author Karl Weber and more. Join us, and learn how to be a more powerful citizen at Citizen University.

And did we mention that the AEI Program on American Citizenship will be attending? Learn more about the conference here—and see you next month in Seattle!
