Know any bright college students interested in matters of citizenship or public policy? Send them our way!
The Program on American Citizenship is now looking for interns to help out this summer on matters of civic education, patriotism and military service, civil society, and civic participation, and our friends over at What So Proudly We Hail are looking for an intern to continue their project of exploring the meaning of America through stories, speeches, and songs. Interested students can learn more and apply at AEI.
AEI will also be hosting a Summer Institute: a month-long, fully-funded summer program for 25 college undergraduates to learn public policy from AEI scholars. Topics include economics (taught by Kevin Hassett), foreign and defense policy (with Thomas Donnelly and Program director Gary Schmitt, complete with a ‘staff ride’ to Gettysburg), political leadership (with Steven Hayward), and a plethora of pressing policy issues. Students will receive a $1,000 stipend, dormitory accommodations, and up to $500 in travel expenses. The program will be held at AEI from June 17 to July 14, 2012. For more information–and to apply–head over to the Summer Institute site.
